Walking hand in hand with the Unicorns to discover the land
of the medieval Cathar Castles
Hearty Welcome
The journey
The land of the Cathar castles is located in the south of France, close to the Pyrenees and not far away from the Mediterranean sea near Spain.
It is gentle but also a little rough, with wonderful views from the mountains and Castles, where you will find yourself close to the sky and feel the purity around you especially when you are looking down from Montségur.
We will visit the walled city of Carcassonne, a Unesco world heritage site. Many films have been made there, and in the narrow lanes, you will feel as if you were in the Middle Ages.
Mirepoix will be on our way to Montségur. You will enjoy the market place with its timbered houses.
Close to Limoux, where the first French Blanquette was invented, we will find Notre Dame de Marceille, a place full of grace and peacefulness.
We will pray there in front of the Black Madonna and drink the holy water from a source.
We will also go to a mystical town called Rennes-le-Chateau, discover a little church dedicated to Mary Magdalene, and also the Magdala-Tower.
The castle of Arques, a huge tower, is a very pure and sacred place and you will feel the unicorn energy very much there.

Spiritual aspects and highlights
The land of the Cathar people
The Cathar people go back to the Essener People, and to Jesus and Mary Magdalene.Mary Magdalene was Jesus' wife and the mother of his children. She also was a spiritual teacher and lived in an equal partnership with Jesus.
Mary Magdalene came over to France and landed in St. Marie-de-la-Mer. She lived more in the Provence, but her daughter Sarah is known to have lived in the Cathar area.
The castles were the last asylum of the Cathar people. So, in March 1244, after being besieged for the whole winter in Montségur, about 220 Cathar people surrendered, and, as they refused to renounce their faith, lost their lives and were burned where we have the stèle today.
We want to do a healing and forgiving ceremony at Montségur on Monday, and at the same time, do some healing and releasing work for ourselves, the Cathar people and our families for the highest good.
On Sunday, we will have a new moon ceremony in the park of our marvellous HotelChateau des Ducs de Joyeuse.
Every evening, we will do some meditations or healings.
Some of you know, that I love unicorns, and, coincidentally, there is a gobelin with two unicorns in our group-room. I' m sure that Mother Mary, Mary Magdalene and the unicorns will be very close to us during the journey.
